Friday, 23 August 2019 marked the launch of the Unashamedly Ethical campaign in Ghana, taking the campaign to national level in this West African country as officials and leaders committed to join the movement and make a stand for ethics, values and clean living.
The launch was coordinated by the Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International (FGBMFI) and hosted during the FGBMFI 2019 National Convention in Accra. Around 2,000 FGBMFI members and representatives from across Ghana and other West African countries attended the 3-day event.
To launch the movement was the immediate past Chief Justice of Ghana, and a current member of the Council of State, Justice Theodora Georgina Wood. Statements of endorsement were made by Prof. Stephen Adei, Chairman of the National Development and Planning Commission, an appeal court judge and other eminent persons, all attesting to the timeliness of the launch. A businessman shared a personal testimony of his turning away from shameful corruption practices, and today enjoying the fruits of his newfound success running his hotel group with integrity, ethics and wholesome values profitability.
Also present at the launch was the International President of FGBMFI, Ing. Mario Garcia Olvera from Mexico. Olvera has subsequently resolved to ensure that the Unashamedly Ethical movement is rolled out at larger scale in Mexico as well.
FGBMFI President for Ghana, George Prah, has been appointed as the custodian of Unashamedly Ethical Ghana and will be overseeing the development of the movement in-country.
