.“All over the world, the Spirit is moving”, these are the words of a song that many of us sang when we were kids. The Movement Day Cities Conference 2016 took place 25-27 October 2016 in New York, USA. It was a true convergence of what God is doing through the work of His faithful people, “all over the world”.
The delegation from China shared the supernatural growth of the Kingdom, despite resistance from the government. In Germany, Greece and many other European countries, refugees from Syria, Iraq and North Africa are welcomed by God’s people with place to stay, personal development opportunities and food and clothing. We heard how the pastors fraternal of Mumbai India, took hands to impact their city with Kingdom Transformation. In Australia, a lady has seen made provision for the needs of women that are exploited in the sex industry. We were amazed to hear about the growth in church attendance in New York over the last few years. In fact, 3500 people from 94 countries, mixed and shared their stories at the conference. This encouraged the UE delegation to keep up the good work and to collaborate with colleagues “all over the world.”
At the closing ceremony on Thursday 27th of October, Graham Power, with several other global Christian leaders, was recognised for the work he did to establish the Global Day of Prayer and Unashamedly Ethical. Congratulations Graham, we know that your humble acceptance of this award motivates you and the team to keep up the good work.
Thank you to everyone that contributed in some way to make it possible for the UE team to be exposed to this global move of God. It was great to see that Africa had a delegation of over 200 people in NY. The possibility of hosting a future Movement Cities Day event in Africa, was discussed. We enjoyed the sights and sounds of the Big Apple, we made new friends, we developed team unity and spirit. We were personal witnesses that “all over the world, God’s Spirit is moving.”
