Dear friends

I am excited to tell you that over 3500 individuals have taken the UE commitment, and over 600 organisations. I believe that as these numbers continue to grow daily, and the UE community becomes increasingly strong, the impact that Unashamedly Ethical will have on our nation will be enormous!

Our recent conference was a huge success – the response from those who attended has been overwhelming. The campaign has made great progress in the last 6 months and I believe that we are now set to see God’s vision for this campaign roll out internationally.

This leads me the main point of my letter to you. Today I am asking you to support Unashamedly Ethical with a donation.

The Unashamedly Ethical campaign does not support itself financially like a business. It is driven by a global community of people committed to seeing a wave of clean & ethical living sweep across our world. We have a small number of paid staff – just two. The campaign is not-for-profit and it is free to join by anyone, of any age, of any religion, in any country. We have opportunities to see the Unashamedly Ethical vision planted throughout Africa in the next 2 years, and worldwide 3 – 5 years after that. Our annual budget for this task is two million Rand.

If 50% of our signatories like you contribute just R100 per month over a 2 year period, we would be able to cover the budget it will require to see the African roll-out of our campaign. I realise that some of you may only be able to contribute a smaller amount, but others of you like our business signatories will be able to contribute more. I want to challenge you to make this commitment.

You see, Unashamedly Ethical is more than just a campaign. We share a common cause with all our members: Imagine a world in which businesses everywhere traded honestly, governments governed ethically and every person did to others what they would have done to themselves. That is our commitment.

Your donation helps us in several ways. Most importantly, you will help us expand the campaign throughout Africa and the world by helping us cover our salaries, the increasing cost of travel and the expenses related to the Ombudsmen. Funds also help us to maintain and improve the website, and the growing online directory that it hosts.

We want to keep Unashamedly Ethical strong, growing and free-of-charge, but we need the support of thousands of people like you.

I invite you to join us. Your donation will help keep UE membership free for the whole world.

Thank you

Graham Power
